Bullet Point Sunday

I have a new addiction - Pandora Radio. I only wish it was available on Rory (my cell phone).

We were blessed to be able to attend our friend Sarah's ordination tonight. Three new Reverend's in Abilene in a week's time, Russ & I included.

We had a great afternoon at our friends Brandon & Danyel's home for a party for no reason. LOL! Cajun food was the theme for today. I ate my fill of veggies, rice, etc.! We're planning to do this once a month. I think Indian food is the theme for next month.

This week is going to be pure insanity for me. Two major exams & a 15 to 18 page paper. YIKES!

I've written 17 papers this semester thus far. I still have 7 more to go. Plus 4 exams & numerous quizzes & putting my portfolio together too!

39 days until the end of the spring semester! And 130 days until I'm done with school. I can hardly wait!!!!!!

Have a great week yall! I'll blog as often as I can, but that may not be much this week. I know I still owe yall a blog post on our ordination. I'll get to it as soon as I can.

LOST 5X10

Time for my thoughts on this week's episode. There are numerous sites that do recaps so I'm not going to necessarily do that, but I am going to share my thoughts on what happened.

*****SPOILER ALERT - IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED 5X10, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPOILED!*****

Season 5, Episode 10 - He's Our You
~I absolutely love Wednesdays! It's the high point of my week to see a new episode of LOST!
~As I was watching, I was thinking that although this filled in some more of the blanks, it was a pretty lackluster episode, that is until the end! But what, I'm not to that yet.
~OK, just gotta say how bothered I was by seeing the little boy kill the chicken. And then to find out it's Sayid! That totally explains some things. Am I right?
~I was very surprised that Sayid decides he's on his own rather than trying to fit in with the Dharma people. But maybe it's because he met young Ben?
~The scene with Hurley cooking waffles and then chatting with Kate & Jack made me laugh. I couldn't imagine Hurley with any other job!
~Ben's dad pisses me off! I hate to see a parent treat a child like that, no matter how bad of a guy the kid will turn out to be!
~The scene in Santo Domingo made me sad. Ben's line to Sayid, "It's in your nature, it's what you are, you're a killer Sayid." WOW! But then Sayid's response, "I'm not what you think I am. I don't like killing." I wish it wasn't true, but Sayid seems to prove differently at the end of the episode.
~Did Oldham, the hippie interrogator, remind anyone else of Ben? I mean, he looks alot like him. Seriously!
~Interesting to find out that Ilana is a bounty hunter. I just assumed she was some kind of federal marshal or something like that.
~I was kind of shocked to the reaction of the Dharma people when Sayid was all loopy & he was telling them the future. They're going to wish they had listened!
~Anyone wonder who the people are in Ann Arbor that Radzinsky threatens to call if they don't vote to kill Sayid? Who's behind the Dharma Initiative?
~I was disappointed we didn't get to hear Kate's full story of why she came back to the island. Young Ben had to screw it all up by setting a Dharma van on fire.
~Oh, before I forget, there were two Logsdon LOST Fans theories that we discussed today. The first is really far fetched in my book, but it made for a ton of laughs & a joke that will probably continue for quite some time. Someone, who shall remain nameless, suggested that when Sayid hit Jin at the end of the episode, it snapped his neck & killed him. We had quite alot of fun figuring out how far Jin's neck turned (we settled on 90 degrees) and acting out repeatedly the neck turn in slow motion. LOL! The other theory might actually be real though. It has nothing to do with last night's episode, but is interesting nonetheless. Remember Henry Gale, the guy who landed on the island in the hot air balloon. And then Ben assumed his identity to sneak in with the Oceanic survivors. Well, the theory is, what if that is Walt from a different time trying to get back to the island. Interesting, right?
~OK, I think I've stalled long enough. I was not at all expecting Sayid to shoot young Ben. It was a "Holy Crap!" moment for me. In fact, if you go to my Twitter feed, you'll see I said exactly that. So what is going to happen now. When Jack operated on Ben, he never mentioned a bullet hole. Will it be like John where he'll live enough though he was shot? Is Faraday right that nothing they do affects the timeline? Seriously!!!! I know, I've said Seriously enough tonight. But, yeah, that was definitely a holy crap moment for me!
~next week, what is with Jack saying they shouldn't have come back to the island? Can't he make up his mind? Tune in next week to find out!

There's my thoughts for what it's worth. Tune in next week for my thoughts on 5X11 Whatever Happened, Happened.

LOST 5X09

Time for my thoughts on this week's episode. There are numerous sites that do recaps so I'm not going to necessarily do that, but I am going to share my thoughts on what happened.

*****SPOILER ALERT - IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED 5X09, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPOILED!*****

Season 5, Episode 9 - Namaste
~after a week off, I was more than ready for last night's new episode of LOST
~why was there a runway on the secondary island? we've only been told that people come to the island by boat or submarine, so this one really confused me!
~the co-pilot died with a giant branch through his chest, wasn't that how the co-pilot of the Oceanic flight died as well?
~very confused about why Sun is still on the plane, my theory is that since she didn't bring back her daughter with her, the island wouldn't accept her back with everyone else
~I love that the O6 are back in 1977. 1977 rocks! That's the year I was born :-)
~the guy in the Flame Station is insane! really didn't like him!
~Horace & Amy's baby is Ethan!!! HOLY CRAP! So, how does Ethan end up surviving the purge? A theory batted around by the "Logsdon LOST Fans" today was that maybe Ethan was kidnapped by the hostiles because they can't have children of their own. Similar to the kids from the plane being taken in present day.
~so, what's going to happen with the purge? will our fearless O6 & the other Oceanic people get away before Ben kills everyone or?????
~What do you think happened to Faraday? I think with as off his rocker he was when we last saw him that he went completely insane and killed himself.
~Best 2 lines of the episode:
Sun hits Ben on the head with the paddle.
Frank: "I thought you trusted this guy."
Sun: "I lied!"
LOVED IT!!!!!
~now how about the jobs the O6 are assigned; Hurley is a chef; Jack is a janitor; & Kate works in the carpool with Juliette; seems like both the doctors aren't going to be allowed to live up to their potential
~Creepiest moment of the episode: Frank & Sun enter the dilapidated Dharamville, we hear whispers, a light comes on, Christian appears
~What do you think Christian meant by telling Frank & Sun, "I'm sorry, but you have a bit of journey ahead."? I'm pondering that maybe there is someway for the 1977 people & the current day people to reconnect.
~the verbal struggle between Jack & Sawyer when they were discussing their leadership styles was interesting
~And then, we end with young Ben taking Sayid a sandwich. YIKES! He's already creepy, even as a child!
~next week - I have a feeling that Sayid is going to die possibly as early as next week
~"everything is different, everyone has changed, it's survivor versus survivor, every man for himself" WOW! we've got some intense weeks ahead of us
~feel free to comment with your thoughts and insights, it's always fun to chat with other LOST fans!

There's my thoughts for what it's worth. Tune in next week for my thoughts on 5X10 He's Our You.

Wordful Wednesday

What a difference a day makes. We went to the mountains of Ruidoso, New Mexico, last week during Spring Break. When we got there, there was no snow to be seen on the mountain. It rained our whole 2nd day there. As we were leaving, we realized that the rain we had been experiencing was snow up on the mountain. Isn't it gorgeous! Bullet Point Sunday

I can't believe Spring Break is over already.

I firmly believe that my professors would have a much easier life if they didn't have to grade all the assignments they give us. I would more than willingly give up having to do those assignments to make their lives easier. LOL!

I had the worst migraine I've had in awhile today. Slept off most of it this afternoon. I surely regretted giving up soda because I sure would have liked one today.

I am anxiously awaiting the release of the summer course schedule so I know when my last day of school will be. I am ready to start the countdown. Only 52 days, 21 hours, & 37 minutes until my spring semester is over.

I think I lost a week somewhere. I thought Russ & my ordination was a couple of weeks away, but it's next Sunday! If you're in the Abilene area, we'd love for you to join us for this special celebration. Feel free to contact me for more details.

I finished knitting #6 of 14 Christmas stockings last night. I'm still going to try to be finished with all of them by this Christmas. We shall see!

I've been really hurt in the past couple of weeks by two people I thought were my friends. It's so difficult to function when the pain is so bad.

I'm at 2.5 weeks without meat. It's been a surprisingly positive thing for me. I haven't even missed it. We've had to make some adjustments to meals, but I've been pleased with how easy it is to make adjustments that work for all three of us.

After our getaway to the mountains, Russ & I decided we want to run a bed & breakfast when we grow up. LOL!

Russ bought me a beautiful fiery opal ring while we were in Ruidoso. I've been looking for an opal ring for two reasons - one, because it is my birthstone & two, because it reminds me of my great-grandmother who passed away many years ago at the age of 95, her name was Opal, she was such a strong & beautiful woman!

Russ & I also decided that we should go to the mountain time zone every year during the spring forward time change, because it wasn't a big deal for us since we had already dealt with the hour of time change. LOL!

Have a blessed week my friends. I am so thankful for each of you who share life with me through my blog.

I Have Style?!?!

Found this on Brandi's blog. This website Sproost gives you a quiz to find out your design style. I wasn't at all surprised to have mine come up this way. Take the quiz & let me know what your style is.

Hello Spring Break!

Spring break has finally arrived! I can't believe we've already completed 8 weeks of school though. We're headed out in just under 4 hours for a time of vacation. We're headed to my parent's house in Carlsbad, NM, today. We'll stay with them tonight & go to church with them in the morning. Then Damaris is staying with them & Russ and I are headed for a getaway for 3 days/2 nights in beautiful Ruidoso, NM. I can't wait!!!!! We'll head back to Carlsbad on Tuesday and then come back to Abilene on Wednesday. Have a safe and happy spring break everyone!
